Four people, four life stories. The subject of YOU´RE DEAD WITHOUT A STORY is the inseparability of life and memory. Everyone has a story, a unique identity which is continually developing within himself, which has been lived and is constructed from memories. But most will be forgotten, for without forgetting there is no remembering. Forgetting is man´s greatest strength which prevents him from collapsing from the weight of the past.

"From the very beginning the pulse beats ceaselessly and the silent cries of life must find their voice in rhythm and memory. One can already feel the intensity. The music and dance form a symbiosis. YOU´RE DEAD WITHOUT A STORY is a conflict between an interior and an exterior, between the past and present. The dancers come together and part again in impressive choreography. Although very short this scene midway into the program ... cannot destroy the impressive images and atmosphere of tension at its breaking point. " (General-Anzeiger, Bonn)
